I Heart U

No, I'm not dead, just doing other things besides blogging. Had a great season of riding even with the last half of it being on a different bike. For a quick review of the new bike, thumbs up. I love my orange Surly 1x1. Hope everyone else rode and is still riding.

Dancey Dance

Dance a dance that will dare all to delve into dancing due to desire. I'm not sure what all of that means, but it sounded fun and I hope it was fun. Sometimes life is up and sometimes life is down, I know it sound cliche. I state it still because I'm a forgetful person and talking or writing aloud helps me remember fundamentals of life. I also state the ups and downs of life because I feel like my life has been up and down in a matter of days. Hey! Dance a dance.

On another side of things I've had some opportunity to try some new things this weekend. One being LinkedIn. What is this? I'm not sure, but I like it. Social networks may come to a close soon but I've made sure that I hopped on the bandwagon for a short while. Two being the Mothership Wit by New Belgium. A decent wheat beer flaunting the USDA Organic symbol. To be completely honest with all readers of this blog, being organic didn't make it taste any better than other decent wheat's. If you can find it on sale, buy it, otherwise get a Hacker.

My legs get tired, but ride I must. Helping the environment and my health 8 miles at a time. This blog was written while listening to Billy Bragg & Wilco's Mermaid Avenue. Check out that...stuff.

Figure 1 or Figure 2

The daily commute. The statement can mean so many things to different people. Most of Chicago area commuters listen to the phrase "daily commute" and reply with an "ugh" or "f*&#ing ridiculous." Then there are the few who listen to "daily commute" and feel a sense of exhilaration, a sense of accomplishment. What divides these two persons? What make one cringe and one jump for joy?

May I say that the deciding factor is your mode of transportation. Do you drive a car? Do you ride a bike? Yes, yes, there is more to the scenario than just modes of transportation. Other things may be considered such as a person's overall outlook on life or the healthiness of a person's sex life. But when those things are considered, how a person starts the day is important (sex life could also be considered here, oh, and coffee). Do you start the day sitting bumper-to-bumper with other cars? Do you start the day with wind blowing in your hair, feeling the tinge of fatigue in your legs? I venture to say that the latter will be a happier commuter overall. Can I go so far as to say a better worker? I can and I will! Hark! Don't worry, I have no research to show this, just whimsical fancy.

Really, overall, I didn't have much purpose to this post. I was just wanting to write something for everyone to read. I hope that everyone is doing well. Get out and ride, don't spend too much time reading this. Be happy, bike happy.
